EL CAJON, Calif. (KGTV) - A reported brush fire prompted another closure on Interstate 8 Saturday morning, near the same area scorched just a day before.
Reports of flare ups along eastbound I-8 west of Los Coches Road came in just after 5 a.m. Cal Fire crews were on scene to dampen the area.
The number two lane of eastbound I-8 was closed, though lanes were reopened just before 9 a.m.

A 13-acre brush fire Friday along I-8 near Los Coches Rd. and Greenfield Dr. prompted a full closure of the interstate for a brief time. The blaze caused lengthy backups during the rush hour commute.
No injuries or structural damages were reported during that blaze.
