CORONADO, Calif. (KGTV) - Bike the Bay, a scenic bayside bike ride, is your chance to ride over the San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge.
Happening on August 27, 2017, the community bike ride is open to all skill levels and embarks on a scenic, primarily flat ride around the San Diego Bay along the Bayshore Bikeway.
The pathway runs through the surrounding cities of Coronado, Imperial Beach, Chula Vista and National City concluding at the start/finish line at Embarcadero Marina Park in downtown San Diego.

The scenic 25-mile route is the only opportunity of the year to ride over the beautiful Coronado Bay Bridge, and all riders can partake in a post-ride festival with food, beverages, a beer garden, and entertainment.
The registration fee includes a ride entry with fully supported rest-stops, a festival with entertainment (food trucks on site available for purchases), beer garden, and a 10th annual commemorative souvenir.

Proceeds from the event benefit nonprofit organization, San Diego County Bicycle Coalition, which is dedicated to improving the safety, connectivity, and quality of life for all who ride bikes in San Diego.
