CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - Police are searching for whoever sexually assaulted a woman at a South Bay park just steps from an elementary school -- an attack that sent the victim to the hospital.
Chula Vista police said a woman in her 20s was walking at about 8 p.m. Monday in Otay Park at 1613 Albany Avenue when she was attacked on a staircase on the park's east side by an unknown suspect.
During the attack, police said the woman suffered facial trauma and lost consciousness. After she regained consciousness, the woman discovered that she had been sexually assaulted and her property was stolen. The woman went to a nearby home to call for help.
