CLAIREMONT, Calif. (KGTV) - An overturned cement truck froze midday traffic along Interstate 805 Tuesday.
The truck overturned shortly before 1:30 p.m. near the West Balboa Avenue off-ramp. All lanes and the off-ramp were closed until further notice just before 2 p.m.
Officials at the scene told 10News the driver of the truck appeared to take the off-ramp at a high rate of speed and ended up flipping the truck onto its side.
Cars were seen driving around the truck, spreading the spilled cement and vehicle fluid up the ramp.
As of 5 p.m., the truck had been turned over onto its wheels and crews had cleaned the off ramp of debris.
