SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Macy's is offering a little help to victims of the Southern California wildfires that have torn through the state this month.
The department store said it will offer discounts to victims of the fires, including the Lilac Fire that tore through North San Diego County this month.
For the next six months, eligible customers can redeem:
- 30 percent off on select regular-priced and sale clothing and accessories, as well as fine and fashion jewelry,
- 25 percent off on select regular-priced and sale home items, and
- 10 percent off select regular-priced and sale furniture, mattresses, rugs and watches.
Customers who show their FEMA or insurance card to a sales associate at Macy's locations in Temecula, The Shoppes at Carlsbad, and Westfield North County will receive a voucher allowing them to receive the discount on eligible purchases.
The company is also donating $20,000 to LA County Fire Department Foundation, Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, and Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank.
"Our thoughts are with all those impacted by the Southern California wildfires. We want to also acknowledge all the brave firefighters and first responders who have battled the devastating fires, protected homes and brought people to safety," a company statement read.
San Diego customers will also be encouraged to round their purchases to the nearest dollar to support Southern California wildfire relief efforts through Dec. 24. Funds raised at San Diego stores will benefit San Diego/Imperial County Red Cross.
