East Village hit-and-run leaves woman with life-threatening injuries

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A driver left a woman with life-threatening injuries after they ran over her in an East Village parking lot Friday afternoon.

San Diego Police said the woman was found lying in the middle of an Ace Parking lot in the 1300 block of National Avenue after a gray Jeep ran her over at about 2:30 p.m.

The motorist reportedly stopped "for just a second" before fleeing the scene eastbound on Imperial Avenue.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. Her name was not released.

SDPD described the suspect vehicle as a gray Jeep with California license plate of 6UGV248. The Jeep also was reported to have a large roof rack and black rims, police said.
