EL CERRITO, Calif. (KGTV) - Residents in one El Cerrito neighborhood were fed up.
Then came another incident.
Abbie Yamamoto and her husband returned to their home Monday night and got a really upsetting surprise. A locked door on the side of the garage had been jimmied open.
Some pricey road bikes were taken from her garage. She had just signed up for her first triathlon in several years.
Those plans now on hold. It’s the latest in a string of break-ins and other crimes in the area, prompting some to call for more police intervention.
They may have a lead to go on: Yamamoto believes she may have spotted the intruder weeks before the incident.
