SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Sharp Healthcare says thousands of coronavirus vaccine appointment slots were open on Tuesday at their vaccination stations.

About 2,000 vaccination slots were open between the hospital system's sponsored sites at Grossmont Center in Chula Vista, Chula Vista Center, and Coronado.

Sharp says the doses were set to arrive from the county and are now in hand.

"Sharp HealthCare has opened up 2,000 appointment slots at its county vaccine stations. The Sharp-sponsored county super stations at Grossmont Center and Chula Vista Center, and a community site at Coronado, recently received a new batch of doses from the county. Appointments are available for San Diego County residents 65 and older, and health care workers. Hours and appointment availability vary by site," the healthcare system said.

Appointments are open to eligible members of the public who are 65 or older or healthcare workers. Appointments can be made online here.
