Commuters injured after MTS buses collide in National City

NATIONAL CITY, Calif. (KGTV) - Multiple people were injured after two buses collided Tuesday.

Up to five people were injured and transported to a local hospital following a collision between two Metropolitan Transit System buses at 18th Street and Euclid Avenue just after 3 p.m.

National City Police said one bus was pulling away from a bus stop when the other bus came around the corner and struck it. The crash showered passengers sitting near three windows with broken glass.

Authorities are still investigating the incident.
