CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - Check your pockets!
A Mega Millions lottery ticket matching five numbers from Friday night's drawing, but missing the Mega number, was sold in Chula Vista, according to state lottery officials.
The winning ticket, worth $3,116,434, was sold at Southbay Liquor, located at 1355 Broadway. The store will receive about $15,582, or one-half of one percent of the prize.
Friday's winning numbers were 1, 4, 5, 24, 30 and the Mega number was 1. The estimated jackpot was worth $43 million, with an estimated cash value of $26.1 million.
Four other tickets, one in Massachusetts, two in New Jersey, and one in Virginia, were also sold matching five numbers. A total of 131,050 winning tickets were sold.
The overall odds of winning any prize in a Mega Millions drawing is about 1 in 15, while the odds of winning the jackpot is about 1 in 259 million, according to California Lottery.
