The why is pretty simple. Veterans Day serves as an important day for Americans to celebrate the contributions, sacrifices, and role military service members and veterans play in our daily lives. Here in San Diego where a there's a strong military presence, that community plays a role in almost every San Diegan's life.
San Diego's parade carried the theme "A Tribute To Heroes At Home."
It started near Fountain Plaza at the Waterfront Park, headed south on North Harbor Drive, past the B Street Pier, crossed Broadway, continued past the USS Midway to Pacific Highway, and turned left to the Dismissal Area on Pacific Highway.
