(KGTV) - Apple fans waiting to get their hands on the company's latest foray into home smart assistants will have to wait a bit longer.
Apple's HomePod speaker will reportedly be released in 2018, technology website The Verge reports. The smart assistant is being held out of the holiday shopping season as Apple needs, "a little more time before it's ready for our customers," an Apple spokesperson told the website.

It's not clear exactly what issues led to Apple's decision. Apple's HomePod was previously slated to be released this December.
