SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Think it’s hot in San Diego? Well, it is, but it could be much, much worse.
All things considered, even though San Diego County is experiencing some heat and humidity, America’s Finest City isn’t even on the map of America’s hottest cities.
Data website Currentresults.com compiled data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and found the hottest cities in the country.
The data shows the US cities with the hottest average summer highs in June, July and August. Check out the list below for more:
Phoenix, Arizona
If you didn't already know, Phoenix is hot. The average summer high climbs all the way up to 105. Whew!
Las Vegas, Nevada
Vegas has an average summer high of 102. So like, nope!
Austin, Texas
Cooling things off a bit is number three on the list, Austin. This city in Texas has an average summer high of 95.
Dallas, Texas
Similar to Austin, Dallas also has an average of 95 during the summer months.
San Antonio, Texas
If you haven’t guessed by now, everything in Texas isn't only bigger, it’s also hotter. San Antonio is, on average, 94 degrees during the summer months.
Riverside, California
Finally, a city in California! Riverside has an average summer high of 93 degrees.
Houston, Texas
