SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A woman who exited her vehicle while it was in motion on Interstate 15 and was fatally struck Thursday has been identified.
The county medical examiner Friday said Kimberly Lynn Bryan, 59, was the sole occupant of a Jeep Wrangler traveling southbound on I-15 near Miramar Way, when she exited her vehicle at about 12 p.m. and was hit by at least one car.

California Highway Patrol told 10News photojournalist Mike Howder Bryan slowed down and either jumped or fell out of the vehicle while in motion. She then got up, lied down on the freeway and was struck.
Bryan was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The incident is still under investigation.
