SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A traffic hazard prompted closures on Interstate 15 and State Route 94 early Saturday.
A large chunk of steel, the size of a vehicle and weighing around 10-15 tons, reportedly fell from a truck just before 7:30 a.m., according to California Highway Patrol's traffic log.

Crews closed the eastbound and westbound SR-94 connectors to southbound I-15 and the number two lane of southbound I-15 to SR-94 to clear the scene. The scene was cleared just before 11 a.m.

Traffic is expected to be slow in the area while the roadway obstruction is removed and traffic is reopened.
