Not long ago, Halloween candy was just smaller versions of the same candy sold year round. For the past few years, candy companies have been making special versions of Halloween candy. Here are some of the latest to hit shelves:

TWIX GHOST

Most Twix perish in the digestive tract when they’re eaten. But Twix that have unfinished business? They come back as Twix Ghosts. By the time a Twix Ghost is back in the wrapper, its presumably settled its affairs.

CADBURY SCREME EGGS

Cadbury Creme Eggs are a staple of Easter. Recently, they’ve begun to show up during Halloween, filled with green goo. Why did the eggs turn green? There are several theories, including alien abduction, a genetic mutation in the Cadbury bunny population or green food coloring.

REESE'S AND SNICKERS PUMPKINS

Why a pumpkin? Legends tell of a witch who put a curse on Snickers and Reese’s. The curse causes them to turn into pumpkins in the early fall, then revert to their natural state around Thanksgiving.

PEZ DISPENSERS

The witch, now serving 300 years in Pez prison.

HALLOWEEN PEEPS

Yet another Easter candy that’s come to the spookier side. Possibly the result of a mad scientist – or a time traveler.

M&M's CANDY CORN

M&M’s now come in a candy corn variety, though they’re still made with chocolate. Delicious white chocolate!
