BARRIO LOGAN, Calif. (KGTV) - A missing San Diego county man last seen in Anza is considered to have disappeared under suspicious circumstances, Riverside County sheriff's deputies said today.

Daniel Joseph Frank Foster, 29, of Fallbrook, has not been heard from since Feb. 7, said sheriff's Lt. Paul Bennett, adding Foster "may have met with foul play."

Foster was described as white, 6 feet 3, 180 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes.

San Diego sheriff's investigators have been looking into his disappearance since he was reported missing on March 3, but Riverside sheriff's deputies recently joined the investigation after receiving reports that he may have been spotted in Anza, Bennett said.

A user identifying herself as Foster's mother posted a plea for help on Facebook

"My son Dan has not been heard from since shortly after arriving back in San Diego from New Hampshire in early February. The last known communication he sent was on February 8. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts please contact me via Messenger or at nancybeanfoster23@gmail.com. Thanks for your help."

10News reporter Steve Fiorina interviewed Foster's mom who said her son was diagnosed with depression and anxiety and may have been self-medicating with alcohol and marijuana, which she thinks may have had played a role in his disappearance.

Foster's mom, in town from New Hampshire, told Fiorina that Foster was homeless. She also said he was reported to have been at a bar in Barrio Logan sometime in the past several weeks.

Anyone with information on Foster's whereabouts was urged to contact Investigator Robert Stites from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, Special Investigations Bureau, at (951) 233-4795 or at rstites@riversidesheriff.org
