(KGTV) - Police in Hawaii said Monday they found human remains in the search for a missing Spring Valley man whose wife was found dead last week.
Gladys Novinger and her husband George were swept down a river in Hilo, Hawaii, witnesses said. Police believe the couple was swept toward the popular Rainbow Falls tourist destination.
A rescue team pulled Gladys Novinger from the pool below the waterfall. She was pronounced dead.

Crews briefly suspended the search for George Novinger’s body due to heavy rain.
Police hope to confirm that the body found Monday is that of George Novinger by Tuesday morning.
