San Diego comic book store helps to fill Comic-Con void

SAN DIEGO (KGTV)--Comic-Con wraps up today, but San Diegans can still enjoy the magic of superheroes by popping into their local comic book store.

Photojournalist Andi Dukleth spoke to store manager Robert Mediavilla in Normal Heights who said running the store is harder than it looks.

Villainous Lair Comics opened in 2011 and has been rated "Best Comic Store" by City Beat in 2015.

It's known for its colorful atmosphere, selection of newer comics, and large gaming room.

It is located on 3220 Adams Ave and is open Wednesday through Monday.
