SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – Nearly a hundred people showed up the LGBT Community Center in Hillcrest Thursday to weigh in on the Mayor’s decision to pick the next police chief.
Shelly Zimmerman will retire in March 2018.
The Hillcrest meeting is the third of six the mayor’s staff had planned. They will give the input collected at the forum to a recruitment firm that will help in the process.
There are three more community forums planned. The next one is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct 4th at the Mid-City Gym.
