DA Dumanis discussed cases involving Alejandro Blanco, who is accused of ramming his car into two San Diego County off-duty sheriff’s deputies, Jose Armando Garcia, who was shot at the end of a nearly five-hour standoff in Fallbrook, Ferdinand Alarcio, who was shot in the hand during a chase at a Linda Vista daycare, and Danny Martin Baldwin, accused of lunging at officers with a knife.

The District Attorney also walked reporters through video of each incident.

After investigating the five specific cases the District Attorney's Office determined all the officers involved were acting appropriately at the time of the incidents.

That is why now they're releasing video -- including body worn camera footage showing the terrifying shooting at the Linda Vista daycare.

Police officers in Linda Vista were trying to break up an argument between three men. In the video, you can see two men on the ground and an officer yelling orders.

Alarcio gets up and decides to take off. Officers chased after him as he made his way into Vine Preschool, hopping over a fence and onto school grounds.

Nearly 70 young children were inside at the time.

The District Attorney said Alarcio, pointed a b-b gun at officers - twice.

Thinking it was a real gun and fearing for their lives, an officer shot at him, hitting him in the hand.

The District Attorney said Alarcio was found to have meth in his system at the time of the shooting. He pleaded guilty last month to resisting arrest while using a dangerous weapon. He's scheduled to be sentenced next Tuesday.
