A woman and her boyfriend face child molestation charges after authorities said the woman filmed her boyfriend molesting two girls she was babysitting.

Carlsbad police said 22-year-old Brittney Lyon took two 7-year-old girls to a home in the 6300 block of Greenhaven Drive on July 5. At the home, her 22-year-old boyfriend Samuel Cabrera Jr. sexually molested the girls as Lyon filmed the acts, police said.

After receiving a report of the alleged incident, investigators arrested Lyon and Cabrera on multiple felony counts, including conspiracy and lewd and lascivious conduct with a child under the age of 14.

The suspects were booked into the Vista Detention Facility. Lyon's bail was set at $100,000, while Cabrera's bail was set at $2.3 million.

According to police, one victim is from Oceanside and the other is from Escondido. Investigators believe there might be additional victims.

Anyone with information on the suspects or this case is urged to contact Carlsbad police at 760-931-2293.

Carlsbad police Chief Neil Gallucci said, "We are equally disturbed and outraged that adults would victimize children in this way … The safety and welfare of children are our top priority and we are committed to presenting a comprehensive case to the District Attorney's Office."
