LEMON GROVE, Calif. - A suspect killed in a home invasion a week ago has been identified.

Derrick Harris Jr., 15, was one of the suspects killed during a home invasion on Feb. 7, according to San Diego Sheriff's (SDSO) Lt. Ken Nelson.

Harris Jr., along with another suspect who remains at large, entered a home on the 2400 block of Edding Drive near Mount Vernon Street just before 2 a.m. on Feb. 7, according to SDSO. After the gunmen entered the home, a confrontation with the home's occupants occurred and shots were fired.

Suarez's son, 22-year-old Francisco Suarez Jr., was also shot by one of the gunmen. He is expected to recover from his injuries.

The second suspect, an unknown male, of the shooting fled in an unknown vehicle.

While investigators said they do not believe the act was random, they are not aware of any evidence the suspects and occupants knew each other.
