(KGTV) - Emergency responders came to the aid of a skydiver after a parachuting accident in South San Diego County Monday.
Paramedics were called to Otay Lake shortly after 11 a.m. following reports of a hard landing in the area.
The parachutist suffered a back injury, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. The victim was transported via helicopter to the hospital.
Details on what led to the hard landing were not immediately available.
The parachutist had launched from Skydive San Diego. This was the third accident in a month linked to the skydiving school.
