SAN MARCOS, Calif. (KGTV) -- Upset residents in San Marcos are looking for clues after a vandal struck in the night, leaving behind a mess stretching across several neighborhoods.
Along Avenida Abeja, Traci's husband her his car alarm just before 11 p.m. Sunday night. He raced out to his driveway and saw green goo across a door and window of their white Honda Civic
A few homes down, neighbor Jorge Tapia's car was also hit. Residents of his neighborhood - and another neighborhood miles away - posted online about cars and homes hit by paintballs that same night.
In all, there were at least six other victims. The identity of the shooter remains a mystery, except for one clue: a surveillance video aimed at the Honda Civic revealed a dark sedan driving by around the time the alarm went off, followed by another dark sedan a few minutes later.
