SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Investigators say they believe a fire that damaged a Pacific Beach early Monday morning was intentionally set.
At about 12:15 a.m., a fire was reported at a home in the 5100 block of Soledad Road, according to fire officials.
An elderly woman who resides in the home was not there when the fire broke out, fire officials said, but the blaze forced the evacuation of several nearby houses.
Crews were able to knock down the fire, and no injuries were reported.
Investigators did not provide any further details on the fire probe.
