Neighbors rail against crime at Pacific Beach Starbucks

Neighbors say coffee shop attracts bad behavior

SAN DIEGO - Neighboring business owners of a Pacific Beach Starbucks are crying foul over what they claim are constant issues disrupting the area.

Business owners in the area told 10News' Steve Fiorina that the Starbucks on Garnet Avenue has become a haven for intoxicated individuals and drug use, thanks in part to its business hours and free WiFi. Not every business owner placed all the blame on the coffee chain.

Starbucks issued a statement:

"We take all reports of inappropriate activity in our stores seriously. We're proud that our stores are a gathering place and our partners do their best to create a welcoming and respectful environment for all our customers ... We are not aware of any recent issues or incidents at this particular store."
