Miramar-based Osprey makes precautionary landing

SAN DIEGO — An MCAS Miramar-based MV-22 Osprey with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 166 made a precautionary landing about 30 miles east of Marine Corps Air Station Miramar near Mount Laguna Thursday afternoon.

According to MCAS Miramar, the Osprey landed safely and there were no injuries reported.

Mechanics are en route but repairs could take up to a day, military officials said.
