(KGTV and CNN) - San Diegans have a shot at more than half a billion dollars, thanks to a soaring Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday night’s drawing.
Tuesday night's winning numbers were 1, 2, 4, 19 and 29 with a MegaBall of 20.
The jackpot was last won in Ohio May 4, with a prize worth $142 million. The money was collected by ABC XYZ trust, according to lottery officials.
The prize has only crossed the $400 million mark seven times in its 16-year history, officials said. The top Mega Millions jackpot was $656 million in 2012.
The drawing is at 8 p.m. PT. And at $512 million, the jackpot for the popular, multi-state game is the fifth largest in the game's 16-year history. (The biggest-ever Mega Millions jackpot -- $656 million -- was won in March 2012. It was shared by winners in Illinois, Kansas and Maryland).
