These 5 San Diego cities have a median home value over $1 million

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A new report out Thursday shows that the United States will gain 23 new $1 million cities within the next year, and San Diego didn't shy away from the list. 

According to Zillow, a $1 million city is defined as a city with a median home value of $1 million or more.

It’s no surprise that San Diego has five such cities. Included in the list is Del Mar, Rancho Santa Fe, Coronado, Solana Beach and Encinitas.

One of those cities, Encinitas, became a $1 million city within the last year. Del Mar (surprise surprise) currently holds the top spot for the city with the highest median home value on the list at $2,618,700.
