SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – A 66-year-old man accidentally hit his 2-year-old grandson with a truck at a Kearny Mesa condominium complex Wednesday afternoon.
According to San Diego Police, the incident happened near Spectrum Center Boulevard and Promenade Park Terrace just after 2 p.m.
Police say the man was moving his Dodge pickup truck at the Esplanade at Spectrum Center Apartments being guided by his son.

He then pulled forward without realizing his 2-year-old grandson had run into the path of the truck, striking the child, police say.
The 2-year-old was taken to the hospital with a fractured right pelvis and fractured femur. The injuries are non-life threatening, police say.
