Suspect, victims identified in Lakeside mobile home park shooting

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Authorities have identified the victims and suspect following a shooting at a Lakeside mobile home park that left one person dead and another injured.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department says 65-year-old George Hernandez was killed in the shooting. 65-year-old Elwin Ray Downs was also injured and is still recovering in the hospital.

The suspect, Felix Joseph Hernandez, was arrested for charges including first-degree murder and assault with a firearm.

According to the department, the shooting happened at Pana-Rama Mobile Home Estates on the 13000 block of Old Highway 8 around 5 p.m. on April 26.

The mobile home park's manager told 10News the shooting victims lived in separate trailers at the facility.

It’s still unclear what exactly led to the shooting.
