SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A 65-year-old woman who was hit by a vehicle while crossing a Serra Mesa road Monday has died.
The woman was walking to her car with her two adult children in the intersection of Ruffin Rd. and Village Glen Drive just before 8 p.m., according to San Diego Police.
Her children separated and the two children made it safely to the other side of the intersection. When the woman was crossing, she was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound.

The driver of the vehicle, a 16-year-old, remained at the scene for police. Investigators said alcohol or drugs were not a factor.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital, where she died, police said Wednesday. Her identity has not been released.
