SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A 65-year-old woman was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Serra Mesa on Christmas eve.
According to police, the incident happened just before 8 p.m. at the intersection of Ruffin Road and Village Glen Drive near the Village Glen Apartments.
Police say the woman was crossing the street when she was struck by a 16-year-old driver. The woman was rushed to the hospital with major injuries.
The teen remained at the scene after the crash. At this time, it’s unclear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
