SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A group of local Iranian community leaders are gathering Wednesday to denounce a potential war with Iran.

The protest, led by a coalition of human rights and faith leaders, is scheduled to take place at Balboa Park in front of the Natural History Museum at 10 a.m., the group announced.

Wednesday's rally is in response to President Donald Trump's order to kill Iranian Revolutionary Guard Gen. Qassem Soleimani, the commander of Iran's Quds Force responsible for the deaths of hundreds of Americans.

The group is calling President Donald Trump's actions irresponsible saying they believe he has destabilized the middle east and endangered the lives of Americans.

A similar protest took place Saturday when several people marched through downtown San Diego, two days after the president ordered a drone strike killing a top Iranian general.
