SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A woman was killed and another person was injured after an overnight shooting at a Southcrest park.
San Diego Police investigators said two people — a woman in her 20s and a man in his late teens to early 20s — were shot at Southcrest Community Park at about midnight Saturday.
Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital, where the woman was pronounced dead. The male victim underwent emergency surgery and is expected to survive. Neither victim was identified.
Homicide detectives say while the investigation is in its early stages, they did not believe the shooting was a random act.
Police are currently searching for two suspects, described as Hispanic males in their 20s, wearing dark clothing.
