LA MESA, Calif. (KGTV) -- La Mesa Police are investigating after a man who was brought to the hospital with a gunshot wound died Wednesday night.
According to police, someone in a dark red Honda sedan dropped the man off outside the Sharp Grossmont emergency room just before 7 p.m. before leaving the area.
Police say the man was suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso. He was taken into the hospital where he died, police say.
Police said they don’t believe the shooting happened within La Mesa’s jurisdiction, so they are working with other agencies to investigate where it took place.
