SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A group of San Diegans spent Monday night sleeping outside to raise money and awareness for homeless youth in the community.

Lian Price is a successful fitness trainer and nutrition coach who is doing a community service project with several teammates. Price and the group teamed up with Stand Up for Kids San Diego.

Stand Up for Kids provides services for homeless youth who don't have a place to call home. The organization is not a shelter, but it provides food, clothing, and hot showers for the children. Terilyn Burg is the executive director for stand Up for Kids, she says sometimes the children are as young as 10-years-old.

As of Monday night, the team has raised $78,000.
