EL CAJON, Calif. (KGTV) — A body was found in a drainage canal in El Cajon Saturday, according to the El Cajon Police Department.
Police say they received a call around 1 p.m. from a resident claiming there was a lifeless body in the canal near the 1400 block of East Washington Avenue.
Authorities arrived and confirmed the person was dead.
The medical examiner has taken over the investigation.
The cause and manner of death are unknown at this time.
This is an ongoing investigation.
