ESCONDIDO, Calif. (KGTV) -- Rescue crews in Escondido recovered the body of a man witnesses say fell off his paddle board while riding it in a flooded waterway Thursday night.
The incident was reported on Quince Street in the Escondido Creek. A witness told emergency workers that a man was seen riding a paddle board down the waterway.
Witnesses then say the man fell off the board, which is when they called 911.

The identity of the victim hasn’t been released yet.
In video of the scene, emergency workers could be seen getting ready to lower a rescue boat into the waterway. Crews then rode the boat down the waterway to recover the body.
