ESCONDIDO, Calif. (KGTV) - Negotiators peacefully ended a standoff with a man wanted by the U.S. Marshal Fugitive Task Force in Escondido Saturday.

Marshals located James Golden, 39, and tried to pull over his vehicle Saturday morning at 11:15, Escondido Police said.

Golden drove to a home on the 1300 block of Rincon Road and ran inside. A woman associated with Golden was in the home and left, police said.

A SWAT team and hostage negotiators spoke with Golden for three hours until he surrendered. No one was hurt during the standoff.

He will eventually be booked into Vista Detention Center, police said.

Golden has felony warrants for assault with a deadly weapon, battery on a police officer, and burglary.
