SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – Authorities in Mexico are investigating the discovery of a possible drug tunnel in Tijuana, but there is no immediate word on if the tunnel crossed into the U.S.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials Tuesday confirmed the tunnel discovery in a northern Tijuana neighborhood, near the U.S.-Mexico border.
ICE officials said they are working with Mexican authorities in the investigation.
Mexican media is reporting five people are in custody in connection with the tunnel.
