SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A military mother got some help from a Good Samaritan while her husband is away on deployment.

Tiffany Brent says her husband Tyler Brent is an electronic technician on the USS Theodore Roosevelt and has been on deployment for two months.

She went to the Walmart store on Murphy Canyon Road to pick up the Christmas presents for her kids she put on layaway; when she tried to pay for them, the clerk told her someone had already taken care of her bill.

“Emotional," Brent said. "I didn’t know that I needed something like really good to happen to me. It was over $200."

Brent has two daughters and a son, all under seven-years-old.

“I’ve been doing so much to avoid the holidays," Brent said. "This is the first time I’m actually able to like take a deep breath and calm down and I know it’s gonna be ok.”

Brent says her husband is supposed to return around May 2018.
