CORONADO - Firefighters secured a gas line break at a home under construction Wednesday morning.
The break occurred after a construction crew working on the home located at 980 Alameda Blvd. hit a pipe and severed it. Gas was spewing when Coronado Fire Department arrived but it was secured in about a half hour.
San Diego Gas & Electric also responded and were in the process of marking the location of pipes.
The city tweeted out that all lanes of traffic are now open on the street after a brief closure.
