SAN DIEGO - Rady Children's Hospital invited former heart patients and current ones together to celebrate heart health Saturday.
More than 250 current and former heart patients of Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego participated in the 33rd Annual Heart Party. Attendees whom have undergone open-heart surgery or suffer from a heart condition shared inspirational stories about their journeys during the party.
The event reunited patients and parents with the hospital and its staff.
Last Year, Rady Children's Hospital performed more than 500 heart operations, including several heart transplants, according to the hospital.

The party, which included games and entertainment in a carnival-like setting, is meant to celebrate American Heart Month.
