EL CAJON, Calif. - A fire caused major damage to a home in El Cajon Monday morning, leaving three people displace but causing no injuries.
The fire spread throughout a house in the 600 block of El Monte Road shortly before 8 a.m.
Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control, but not before flames destroyed the structure.
Fire officials said the fire began on an outside deck and spread into the house. The exact cause remains under investigation.
Three people were displaced due to the fire.
Officials told 10News the fire caused about $400,000 in structural and contents damage.
