San Diego (KGTV) – A woman was driving southbound on 47th Street when she lost control and crashed into two parked trucks Sunday morning, according to the San Diego Police Department.

One passenger, who was asleep in the backseat and not wearing a seatbelt, was taken to the hospital with a life-threatening brain injury.

The other passenger said he was having chest pain, but is expected to be okay.

Officers said the driver ran away.

They did not know if drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.

Police asked anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
