SAN DIEGO -- San Diego police are seeking the driver of a pickup truck that struck a child in the Encanto area Tuesday afternoon.
A 3-year-old girl was struck by a westbound beige full-size pick-up truck as she ran onto Brooklyn Avenue near 61st Street around 4:30 p.m., according to San Diego police Sgt. Michael Tansey. The driver did not stop afterward.
The girl's mother immediately brought her to an urgent care clinic, which then referred her to Rady Children's Hospital. Hospital personnel determined she suffered a fractured femur in the crash, Tansey said.
