RANCHO BERNARDO, Calif. (KGTV) - Crews made short work of a fire in Rancho Bernardo Wednesday, but not before it left extensive damage.
San Diego Fire-Rescue crews knocked down the blaze in the 11800 block of Caminito Ronaldo just after 1:30 p.m. The homeowner said the fire began on her patio on the first floor of a two-story apartment, following a loud popping sound heard by her son.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The kitchen, dining room, and living room of the home were heavily damaged, leaving the unit's occupants without a place to stay Wednesday.
The fire caused an estimated $100,000 in damage.
