SAN DIEGO – A large family were forced to evacuate after a dumpster fire broke out near their home early Tuesday morning.
The blaze was reported at a dumpster inside a welding shop at around 1:15 a.m. in the 4000 block of Menlo Avenue. San Diego Fire-Rescue crews arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the dumpster inside the shop.
Firefighters pulled the dumpster out of the business and extinguished it.
Meanwhile, a family who resides next door was forced to rush out of their home to get away from the flames. No one was hurt.
The cause is under investigation.
